Frequently Asked Questions
Is there really a free plan?
Yes. Free includes 1 user and 25 Shopify orders per month, with the full Customer Tracking Portal. No credit card. Upgrade only when you outgrow it.
How does the extra-user add-on work?
Need one more team member than your tier includes? Add a seat as a recurring add-on at the price shown for your tier ($15 / $12 / $10 / $6 per user, depending on plan). Higher tiers have cheaper extra users — that's by design, so upgrading is always the better deal once you need 3+ extras.
How are orders counted?
Unique Shopify orders synced into Route to Ship per calendar month. Multi-line-item orders count as one order. Refunded and cancelled orders don't count toward your monthly orders.
What if I exceed my monthly included orders?
On paid plans, extra orders simply auto-bill at your tier's overage rate ($0.15 / $0.10 / $0.05 per order, depending on tier) — no limit, so your store never stops. We never block your production work; order syncing always continues, and you can watch your usage in the app. As you grow, upgrading to the next tier lowers your per-order rate.
Can I change plans at any time?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period. All changes are confirmed through Shopify.
What happens if I exceed my user limit?
On paid plans, add an extra-user seat as an add-on. On Free, you'll need to upgrade to Production to add a second user.
